Partnering with Food Not Bombs to provide free community meals, every Saturday

By using donated foods that would otherwise be wasted, Food Not Bombs prepares free vegan community meals that are available to everyone without restriction. On Fridays throughout the year, Kitchen Co-op and Food Not Bombs volunteers work together to prepare soups and bag extra produce for distribution. On Saturday, volunteers distribute the meals to members of the community. Distribution occurs on College Street behind the Shopper’s Drug Mart from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Earlier this year The Co-op and Food Not Bombs were featured in the Waterloo Record. Check out the article!

If you have never volunteered during a Food Not Bombs session, we’d love to have you sometime! It’s a great way to learn how to cook for a crowd in a simple and affordable manner. Contact FNB.Kitchener@gmail.com to be added to their volunteer email list.

Special thank you to LSPIRG and the Food Bank for supporting this work.
