Let’s help our neighbours in Turkey and Syria, many of whom have lost everything. A series of powerful earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria in the early morning hours of February 6, 2023, and there have been more than 2,100 aftershocks since then. More than 50,000 people have died, and 1.5 million people are now homeless. People are without shelter, heat, medical help, and often clean water and food. Let’s help as much as we can! Join us for a delicious plant-based and halal meal lovingly prepared by our friends from Queen Shawarma Turkish Cuisine. All funds raised will be sent to the Canadian Red Cross for earthquake relief efforts.
